Some different pest you may encounter in your garden:
Asian Long Horned Beetle. The adult ALHB is large (35 mm long and 12 mm wide) with a shiny, black body, six legs and up to 20 white dots. Its antennae are long with 11 segments alternating black and white. Blue is often seen on the legs. For more information click on the following link: www.inspection.gc.ca
Emerald Ash Borer. Adult beetles are metallic blue-green, narrow, hairless, elongated, 8.5 to 14.00 mmm long and 3.1 to 3.4 mm wide. The head is flat and the vertex is shield-shaped. Aphids. Small sucking insects--green, brown, or reddish--thrive in cool weather and attack and disfigure new growth.
Spider Mites. These relatives of the spider puncture the undersides of foliage and suck out the juices, leaving foliage looking mottled. They spin fine webs on leaves and shoots.
