Astilbe youinque ‘Silvery Pink’ - 40-50 cm tall. Spacing 40-50 cm. Forms a
nice mound of petite green foliage topped by bunches of fragrant, triangular,
pale pink plumes in early to midsummer. Plant in rich moist soil. Full sun to
partial shade. Will grow in shade but will not bloom as prolifically there.

between waterings. Full sun. Remove spent flowers regularly.

Dianthus ‘Very Cherry’ - 30 cm tall. Spacing 40 cm. Fragrant flowers emerge
a very deep black-red colour with bright red streaks on the petals. As flowers
mature the darkest pigment becomes concentrated in the eye of the flower
while the petals turn bright red with a dark, serrated edge. Blooms in early
summer and in early fall. Mounding silvery-blue foliage. Full sun to partial
shade.
Spiny Wood Fern
Dryopteris expansa ‘Spiny Wood’ - 1 m tall. Spacing 60 cm. This is a hardy
deciduous fern of cool moist woods from sea level to the subalpine. Ideal for
streamsides. Likes to colonize conifer stumps. The fronds, 1 m tall, are thrice-
pinnate; the lowest pair of leaflets is triangular.

Echinacea ‘Meringue’ - 50 cm tall. Spacing 40-50 cm. Double white Echinacea
with pom-pom flowers. White ray petals surround a creamy yellow pom-pom
with an apple green center. Pom-poms expand and turn a lighter yellow
colour as flowers age. Short upright habit with green foliage. Full sun to part
shade. Plant in well drained soil.

Echinacea ‘Firebird’ - 80-90 cm tall. Spacing 40-60 cm. Deep scarlet-red
drooping petals surrounding a large dark brown button-shaped cone. Well-
branched , strong and bushy habit. Deep green foliage. Blooms mid summer
to late fall. Plant in moist well drained soil. Full sun.

Echinacea ‘Secret Lust’ - 60 cm tall. Spacing 90 cm. Double flowers with re-d
orange disc flowers and contrasting light pink rays. These double flowers
bloom all summer and fall. Well branched compact habit with green foliage.
Full sun to part shade. Plant in average soil.
Arizona Red Shades Blanket Flower
Gaillardia ‘Arizona Red Shades’ - 25-30 cm tall. Spacing 30 cm. Masses of
large crimson red blossoms from early summer to early fall, even under
hot and dry conditions. Short compact and uniform habit. Well branched
stems. Foliage is made up of green shades. Full sun. Heat tolerant and can

Popsicle Mix Lupin
